PHILADELHPIA – The University of the Sciences women's volleyball team took a set from Mercy in a tri-match with the Mavericks and Millersville on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Morgan Arena.
Trailing 0-2 after Mercy won sets one and two 25-16 and 25-21, USciences erased a 20-22 deficit late in the third, saving a match-point kill thanks to a Sarah Miller kill.
Clem led all players with four blocks and added eight kills on .292 hitting, while Jaskot recorded her 12th career double-double with 32 assists – one shy of a match-high – and 13 digs.
Freshman Tori Wright fell one kill shy of a match-high with 14 on .357 hitting to set a new season-best for the second time in three matches.
Bianca Galis and Miller added nine and seven kills, respectively.
Earlier in the day, Galis led the attack against Millersville with six kills, while Miller had 10 digs in a 25-16, 25-12, 25-14 Marauders (10-3) sweep.
Notably, Danielle Taylor led University of the Sciences in digs in both matches, with 11 and 17, respectively, while Jennifer Marrero had a seasn-high five blocks against Millersville and a season-best five kills versus Mercy.
The Devils are back at home to host Jefferson on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
